My course consists of one day’s intensive one-to-one tuition, carefully structured to provide you with all the information you need to begin your journey into tattooing safely and with confidence. I will provide you with your own paper copy of my easy to follow step by step guide to tattooing which will give you written back up to everything we cover during the day. Following the training day I will act as your mentor for one month, during which time you can phone or e-mail me with any problems you may encounter as you progress. Advice and encouragement will be there for you to keep you steadily on the road to your dream.

(Please note, all techniques will be practiced on synthetic skin.)
A typical day will run from 09:30 to 16:30 with a short break for lunch, but both start and finishing times are flexible and will depend very much on your needs. Should you feel you need more time to go over anything again, then that’s what we will do and continue to do until you feel confident.
All courses are conducted at my environmental health registered studio in Sheffield. Please remember that it is illegal to tattoo human skin outside registered premises. Once you have gained confidence in the use of the equipment and you are ready to begin work on real skin, I can offer further, live skin training. You will, of course, need to bring along a willing volunteer or you may simply opt to tattoo an area of your own body. Further training on real skin is priced at £100 per day.
If you are not already in posession of your own tattoo equipment, don’t worry. After the course, your new-found knowledge of tattooing equipment will enable you to make informed choices when buying.
